About the role

Fixins Soul Kitchen offers a Summer Internship Program to gain real-world experience in restaurant operations, with exposure to key service areas and shadowing the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Operations & Compliance: adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations while maintaining high standards in food preparation, service, and facility upkeep.
  • Financial Management: build budgets, monitor financial performance, control costs, and drive year-over-year sales growth.
  • Team Leadership: recruit, train, and retain staff, fostering a positive work environment through coaching and development.
  • Guest Experience: exceptional customer service, prompt issue resolution, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  • Efficiency & Oversight: manage staffing levels, oversee cash handling, maintain equipment, and ensure timely completion of reports and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience may be helpful but is not a requirement
  • Drive to learn about restaurant operations and an obsession with delicious food, on-point service, spotless stores, tight operations, and community love.
  • Willingness to relocate for the summer internship (Sacramento, Los Angeles, Tulsa, or Detroit)
