About the role

Expeditor role at Fixins Soul Kitchen to ensure smooth restaurant operations, maintaining quality and efficiency of service. This is an on-site, part-time, hourly position with daily tips.

Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen, prioritizing them as needed.
  • Final Preparation: Assist in the final preparation of dishes, ensuring they meet presentation and quality standards.
  • Accuracy Checks: Verify that dishes are accurate, properly plated, and at the correct temperature before they are served.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, relaying essential information and special requests.
  • Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and uphold sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in an upscale restaurant setting preferred.
  • Must have strong ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and waitstaff.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure dishes meet quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handler’s Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification if required by law (Certifications differ per state)
