About the role

Software Engineer role focused on building distributed microservices and financial-grade systems at Zopa, using Kotlin and modern cloud technologies in a hybrid London-based position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build modern, reliable, scalable microservices
  • Own your services end-to-end, from conception to production monitoring
  • Collaborate directly with product, design and data experts to shape solutions
  • Shipping great products, not just writing superb code

Qualifications

  • Experience building distributed systems at scale
  • Test-driven development practices
  • Comfort operating in uncertainty and rapid change
  • A product-focused engineering mindset
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Aurora Postgres (or willingness to learn)
