About the role

Senior Software Engineer to design and build core middleware framework and infrastructure for autonomous humanoid robots, collaborating with client teams to improve abstractions and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the core framework and infrastructure the robot runs on.
  • Work directly with client teams to understand how they use it and where it gets in their way.
  • Turn that understanding into better abstractions and tooling.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience building production software in C++
  • Mastery of Modern C++ (>20)
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Experience working on embedded systems and timing sensitive environments
  • Intimate understanding of the interface between the Linux kernel and userspace applications
  • Passion for developing well tested frameworks and infrastructure that just works day in and day out for years to come
  • Motivated by working directly with other teams to understand their needs.
