About the role
Robotics Software Engineer role at Almond, building humanoid arms and AI-focused robotics software across the full product lifecycle from design to production in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Building the most capable 7 DoF arm available (human range of motion, high payload/weight ratio, etc.)
- Teaching the arm to assemble itself
- Designing, testing, and implementing key software components for humanoid arms, data collection, AI
Qualifications
- Strong architectural design
- Comfort working across the stack and/or quickly learning relevant skills (frontend / backend / robotic control / AI)
- Conviction that general purpose humanoid-style robots with AI are inevitable
