About the role
Sandbox service team at SpaceXSI builds and maintains a secure, scalable system that gives models safe, controlled access to computational environments for training and product workloads, enabling interactive code execution, tool usage, and RL workflows across large-scale clusters.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a secure, scalable Sandbox infrastructure for models to run code, build software, and interact with tools and user interfaces.
- Provision containers and virtual machines on large-scale clusters.
- Orchestrate massive jobs and resource scheduling at the cluster level.
- Tune filesystem performance on nodes.
- Support real-time code execution for user queries and reinforcement learning during training by enabling interaction with tools from compilers to productivity apps.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of Rust, C++ or Go
- Familiarity with Python
- Deep experience with either Linux or Windows systems (familiarity with both is a strong plus)
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., cgroups, KVM, gVisor, QEMU)
- Solid knowledge of the networking stack
