About the role

Financial Analyst role at Surge AI, partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and guidance for strategic decision-making, with focus on pricing, expansion, capacity efficiency, reporting, and operational-financial alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally to drive analysis, build financial models, and recommend business decisions across pricing, business expansion, and capacity efficiency
  • Manage strategic processes including RFPs, contract negotiations, and PO management to ensure smooth operations and compliance
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and insightful financial reports, analyses, and forecasts, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to facilitate informed decision-making to stakeholders and executives
  • Establish and implement reporting dashboards and scorecards to track key operational and financial metrics
  • Oversee invoice management and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams, translating technical concepts into business value and addressing issues not tied to specific projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in strategic finance, product finance, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, consulting, and investment banking
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and manage diverse operational tasks
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and adept at communicating complex financial information to non-finance audiences
  • Strategic thinker with adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment; Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree a plus
