About the role

Universal Preschool Associate Teacher supporting the Universal Preschool and GSRP program by ensuring student safety, engagement, and successful lessons while collaborating with teachers, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate passion for working with and empathy of Universal Preschool and GSRP students
  • Effectively prioritize tasks as assigned by teachers and school leaders
  • Ensure safety of students in classroom and comply with Universal Preschool and GSRP requirements
  • Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
  • Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
  • Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field
  • Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • Existing 120 Training-Hour approval by MDE
  • Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
