About the role

Senior technical leader and domain expert responsible for delivering complex, high-impact data science projects, setting technical direction for the team, and mentoring others within Faculty’s Professional and Financial Services unit.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a technical authority on machine learning, Generative AI, and advanced data science methods to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
  • Leading the development of shared resources, frameworks, and best practices across teams and the company.
  • Contributing to scoping and bid processes for large-scale, high-stakes projects, influencing client decisions with technical expertise.
  • Owning a portfolio of work within a specific sector, applying expert knowledge to deliver exceptional client value.
  • Leading and mentoring project teams and direct reports to ensure successful delivery of high-value, complex projects.
  • Acting as a thought leader, publishing papers, and presenting at industry and scientific conferences to amplify a distinctive AI vision for clients.

Qualifications

  • Extensive technical experience in academia, industry, or both as a thought leader in AI/ML
  • Prior experience with financial services clients and delivering distinctive applications with commercial impact
  • Broad knowledge across machine learning techniques, including Generative AI and agentic AI with Large Language Models
  • Advanced Python coding skills with proven experience building and maintaining scalable codebases
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and direct management experience
  • Strong strategic problem-solving and ability to communicate solutions to non-technical audiences, balancing innovation with practical implementation.
