About the role

Harvey is seeking a Legal Innovation Partner to provide strategic counsel on AI transformation for law firms and corporate legal departments. The role serves as a bridge between Harvey and the legal innovation community, representing Harvey and incorporating community needs into strategy and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on AI transformation by designing and executing AI strategies tailored to each client’s priorities.
  • Help customers evaluate the value of AI initiatives, define practical measures of success, and inform adoption and investment decisions.
  • Help firms and their clients develop new ways to collaborate on legal work.
  • Assist law firms in adapting pricing, staffing, and client service; help legal departments improve how legal services are delivered as AI changes work.
  • Advance Legal AI thought leadership, including representing Harvey in industry forums, publishing analyses, and developing practical guides and frameworks.
  • Build relationships and facilitate knowledge exchange across the legal innovation community; design and lead workshops and educational sessions with law firms, corporate legal teams, and professional organizations.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience across legal practice, legal innovation, or transformation at a top tier law firm, corporate legal team, or legal tech organization; qualified lawyers strongly preferred.
  • Strong point of view on AI transformation in legal organizations, grounded in practical experience using generative AI and the ability to translate capabilities and limitations into strategic guidance.
  • Credibility with senior legal, innovation, and business leaders; ability to align stakeholders and translate between technical and legal/business audiences.
  • Track record of putting legal innovation strategy into practice, including stakeholder alignment, overcoming adoption barriers, and demonstrating improved outcomes; ability to translate work into practical product or service design.
