Lead Generalist Engineer
About the role
Lead Engineer responsible for end-to-end ownership of product surfaces across payments, messaging, scheduling, and AI-powered automation in PocketSuite's mobile-first SaaS platform.
Responsibilities
- Extend payments integration (Stripe), fraud scoring, merchant underwriting; build lending flows and automated fraud systems
- Architect and ship improvements to real-time messaging system used by tens of thousands of pros daily
- Develop scheduling and booking features for solo operators and SMBs, including dynamic pricing, automation, and Google Calendar sync
- Design and implement AI-powered onboarding experiences, data models, workflow automations, deployed agents, and API integrations
- Own scaling, performance optimization, test automation, and deployment pipelines across a multi-platform stack (iOS, Android, React, Python API)
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack
- Proven track record shipping B2B or B2B2C SaaS in Python or TypeScript
- Experience with payments systems, Stripe integrations, or fintech
- End-to-end feature ownership: scoping, building, shipping, maintaining production systems
- Mobile or Web development experience (iOS, Android, or React)
