About the role
Engineering Managers shape how our people grow, leading teams of engineers working on products used by millions of customers. This role focuses on ownership, delivering quality, and guiding teams through ambiguity while collaborating with Product and other partners.
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes and lead through uncertainty, driving problems to solve rather than just tasks
- Be self-driven and proactive, providing clarity and focus to others
- Challenge ideas, influence decisions, and maintain openness to learning
- Learn from mistakes and apply insights to improve
- Support engineers’ development, performance and progression
- Maintain a strong technical bar and treat quality as a first-class concern across the SDLC
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with engineers, product partners and stakeholders
- Use customer feedback and service data to spot opportunities, improve quality and reliability, and help teams navigate complexity
Qualifications
- At least two years in a leadership role as an Engineering Manager
- Experience building, running and improving production systems
- Strong people skills and a track record of supporting engineers’ development and progression
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with product partners and engineers
