Senior Product Engineer at Healthtech 1, a YC-backed healthtech startup focused on automating NHS workflows and patient care navigation. Role involves building secure, reliable systems for patients and clinicians, and integrating AI models into the patient care navigation experience. Opportunity to grow into Staff Backend Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Build secure, reliable systems for patients and clinicians and help integrate AI models into the patient care navigation experience
- Own quality and speed of ticket delivery and code reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to design solutions and reliability improvements
- Participate in technical roadmap discussions and influence tooling and software purchases to improve developer productivity
Qualifications
- 3+ years as a software engineer
- At least 1 year at a startup/scaleup

Why now? The UK's National Health Service (NHS) delivers free healthcare in 590 million patient contacts every year. Post-pandemic, Britain's most treasured institution is in crisis. Patient satisfaction is at 25 year low and 1/7 staff are applying for Non-NHS jobs fuelling an 11% recruitment gap. By digitising the 100s of repetitive processes in healthcare, Healthtech 1 will reverse the trend, and produce the world's most productive health care system.
