Responsibilities
- Architecting, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services that underpin our operational data and AI systems
- Maintaining high coding standards through guidelines, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Building robust APIs for front-end and external systems, collaborating with front-end developers
- Designing efficient data structures and algorithms for large-scale, high-throughput data
- Optimizing applications for speed and scalability through performance analysis
- Active collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve user workflows and ensure cohesive experiences
- Architecting new systems and refining performance to enable low-latency operational outcomes
Qualifications
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar
- Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages
- Experience in designing and developing features and improvements, and maintaining live backend systems
- In-depth understanding of data structures, system architecture, API development for microservices, distributed systems and related best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to iterate quickly with teammates
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance
