About the role

Internship role supporting the engineering team in improving autonomous vehicle system integration, configuration, and troubleshooting, with a focus on developing internal automation tools, AV kit preparation, quality checks, and system validation.

Responsibilities

  • Automation Tool Development: Assist engineers in developing automation tools and software utilities to support AV system integration and configuration; Help test and validate the usability and intuitiveness of internal tools used by engineering teams; Identify bugs or issues during testing and provide feedback to improve functionality; Support rapid development cycles by helping engineers test and validate new features
  • AV Kit Preparation & Quality Control: Assist in component preparation and configuration for AV kit assembly; Support quality control (QC) checks to ensure components are correctly configured before installation; Help document setup procedures and configuration steps
  • System Integration & Validation: Support system validation and testing of autonomous vehicle components and subsystems; Assist engineers in diagnosing system issues using logs, error codes, and testing results; Help record validation results and troubleshooting findings

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering; Computer Science; Mechatronics; Or related technical field
  • Basic programming experience in Python, C++, or scripting languages
  • Interest in Automation tools, Robotics systems, Vehicle systems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., coding assistants) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a hands-on engineering environment
  • Comfortable working with both software and hardware systems
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
