About the role

Internship role focused on researching, training, and shipping ML models for Crustdata's core intelligence layer, working directly with the founding team on NLP, information retrieval, and data-enrichment tasks that power real-time APIs for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, training, and shipping models — from paper to prototype to production
  • Own real ML problems that turn messy, multilingual, web-scale data into structured intelligence
  • Develop and apply NLP, information retrieval, and entity resolution techniques to index and unify hundreds of millions of profiles and company records
  • Solve problems such as multilingual search expansion, data deduplication, org chart inference, technology usage extraction, job-transition classification, and canonical title mapping across languages

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field
  • Strong fundamentals in NLP, information retrieval, or entity resolution
  • Familiar with transformer architectures and trained or fine-tuned encoder models
  • Experience building retrieval systems, classifiers, or embedding models
  • Exposure to contrastive learning, metric learning, or representation learning
  • Experience with LLMs for structured extraction, classification, or data generation
  • Strong Python and PyTorch
  • Founder mentality and willingness to build a company
  • A proactive, hard-working grinder
