About the role

Routing team backend and onboard modules for routing engine, building scalable systems, improving ETAs and traffic handling, and shaping product roadmap with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work on building and scaling both the backend systems and onboard modules for the Routing team, including designing microservices, optimizing routing algorithms, understanding road network graphs, building monitoring and analytics infrastructure, and optimizing deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product, strategy, and operations teams to design and build new user experiences and define product strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of building and scaling realtime server-side applications.
  • Experience with large-scale complex algorithm problems balancing correctness and performance.
  • Experience with a wide range of databases (relational: PostgreSQL, MySQL; non-relational: BigTable, Cassandra, Redis; data warehouses: BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Experience with RPC frameworks (gRPC, Thrift) and pub/sub systems (Kafka, Cloud PubSub, Celery, etc).
  • Extensive experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, etc).
  • Experience with Docker & Kubernetes, or willingness to learn.
