About the role
New graduate software engineer role at Nuro focusing on AI Platform areas (Data Platform, Onboard Systems, ML Infrastructure, Simulation, or Technical Infrastructure) with graduation by December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Data Platform: manage AI Driver data, labels, metrics; data annotation across 2D/3D perception, mapping, behavior trajectory, and language/text; data ingestion and mining; support autonomy evaluation infrastructure with detailed introspection.
- Onboard Systems: develop a reliable, high-performance platform to integrate autonomy software across self-driving platforms; collaborate with software, hardware, and safety teams; resolve onboard error and performance problems.
- Technical Infrastructure: maintain services for engineers, including a generic compute platform for data processing and simulation, storage management for hundreds of PB of data, cloud infrastructure as code (IaaC), and tooling for build and CI/CD to boost productivity.
Qualifications
- Current Bachelor’s or Master’s candidate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field, graduating before December 2026.
- Experience in large-scale distributed systems, data storage and processing, C++ and Python, machine learning, multithreading, x86 architecture, software performance tuning and optimization, robotics software frameworks, and compute modalities (CPU, GPU, FPGA).
- Strong problem-solving and programming skills.
