About the role

Autonomy Leader to drive the technical roadmap for evaluation and verification of the NuroDriver intelligence, developing evaluation tooling to scale safely to millions, and bridging simulation to reality.

Responsibilities

  • Intelligent Agents: Design and deploy "smart" evaluation agents that simulate complex interactions.
  • Intelligent Metrics: Design and deploy advanced algorithms that measure the cognitive performance of the ML models powering the self-driving car’s behavior, utilizing physics-based modeling and machine learning.
  • Close the Learning Loop: Leverage evaluation frameworks to identify specific behavioral weaknesses in the NuroDriver, driving technical execution to refine the agent's decision-making logic.
  • Define the Technical Architecture: Work cross-functionally with Autonomy and Infrastructure engineers to set a roadmap that unifies evaluation frameworks, moving toward automated, data-driven validation.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS/Phd in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math, or related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of industry experience with track record of coaching and cross-functional initiative
  • Strong domain expertise in AI/ML, robotics, and/or large-scale evaluation systems
  • Leadership: ability to set a clear vision and align a team behind a unified technical strategy
  • Execution & Urgency: ability to drive fast, high-quality technical execution
  • People Management: experience hiring, organizing, and fostering engineering culture
  • Collaboration: ability to work with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and ensure compute/infrastructure needs are met
