About the role

Founding Developer Advocate role at Confident AI to own developer experience for both open-source DeepEval and the commercial Confident AI platform, shaping strategy, content, community, and product feedback with autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Own developer content strategy and execution across both DeepEval (open-source) and the Confident AI platform (commercial product).
  • Create onboarding content, demo videos, tutorials, and technical walkthroughs.
  • Build and grow the developer community (forums, Discord, GitHub discussions, social platforms).
  • Represent Confident AI at developer events, meetups, and conferences with the founders.
  • Write technical blog posts and thought leadership on AI evaluation and testing infrastructure.
  • Be the voice of the developer internally; influence product decisions based on community feedback.
  • Own competitive positioning in developer conversations.
  • Coordinate with the founding team on product launches across open-source and commercial products.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in developer relations or developer advocacy at a developer tools, open-source, or infrastructure company.
  • Existing network in the developer tools and AI community.
  • Understanding of open-source community building vs. commercial product marketing.
  • Strong writing ability for clear, sharp technical content.
  • Comfortable on camera and at events; producing video content and speaking publicly.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Technical depth to discuss AI evaluation, testing, and observability with engineering teams.
  • Self-directed, high-agency attitude; comfortable with ambiguity in a seed-stage startup.
