About the role

Research Scientist specializing in Neuro-Symbolic AI to advance neural-symbolic methods over hypergraph representations, bridging deep learning with symbolic reasoning for world-model agents in enterprise environments. Paris-based, role includes research, open-source collaboration, and transferring prototypes to production.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct original research in neuro-symbolic AI, focusing on integration of neural network architectures with symbolic reasoning over hypergraph structures.
  • Develop novel algorithms for multi-hop inference, causal reasoning, and planning over large-scale, dynamic knowledge representations.
  • Design and evaluate world-model agent architectures leveraging hypergraph reasoning to maintain coherent beliefs, predict outcomes, and select actions under uncertainty.
  • Publish findings in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, KR) and contribute to open-source releases and collaborations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to transition research prototypes into production-grade components, translating scientific advances into customer value.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field with dissertation or significant work in neuro-symbolic AI, knowledge representation, or automated reasoning.
  • Strong publication record at top-tier conferences.
  • Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or JAX); experience implementing symbolic solvers or logic-based systems.
  • Deep familiarity with graph-based reasoning methods (graph neural networks, probabilistic graphical models, or answer-set programming).
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborative, interdisciplinary work.
