About the role

Anduril’s Space team builds AI-powered capabilities for space domain awareness, control, and mission management. The role focuses on on-orbit software, autonomy algorithms, and integrating space systems with ground/other platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop on-orbit software, including autonomy algorithms and core flight code, for end-to-end mission systems
  • Build interfaces to payloads, spacecraft buses, and networks across proliferated satellite constellations
  • Integrate with legacy and next-generation space and ground systems
  • Write code to improve and scale our product capabilities to new customers and missions sets.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality
  • Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring
  • Triage issues, find root causes, and coordinate next steps
  • Partner with end users to turn their needs into features, balancing user experience with engineering constraint

Qualifications

  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Ideally 3+ years professional experience working with Rust or C++
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements
  • Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight
  • Clear communication and organizational skills including documentation and training material
  • Experience with spacecraft software systems and spacecraft operations
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
