About the role

Software engineer role developing autonomy software stack (computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, secure communications) for aerial robotic systems and mission autonomy platform (Lattice) at Anduril.

Responsibilities

  • Develop autonomy software stack including computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications
  • Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering teams to bring products from concept to production
  • Work on software solutions for data processing and analysis related to autonomous air systems
  • Contribute to development of Lattice for Mission Autonomy and enable collaboration among Fury, Barracuda, and other robots
  • Develop and test multi-agent autonomous systems and deploy in real-world environments (preferred)
  • Feature and algorithm development with understanding of behavior trees (preferred)
  • Develop software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality (preferred)
  • Work with distributed communication networks and message standards (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • 3+ years programming in Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
  • Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact
