About the role

Anduril is seeking senior technical leaders to own and drive the technical development of new aircraft capabilities from concept through flight test and transition to production across multiple advanced platforms. Opportunities include multiple Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer roles with focus areas spanning next-gen airpower, high-speed vehicles, autonomous large aircraft, carrier-based naval aircraft, ISR platforms, and advanced concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical development from concept refinement through detailed design, build, flight test, and transition to production for a new aircraft concept.
  • Leverage deep technical expertise to set objectives, build a team, and deliver products on a rapid timeline while balancing risk and execution speed.
  • Serve as technical authority across multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving architecture to operational demonstration.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through development and flight test to deliver airborne systems that meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven cradle-to-flight ownership on at least one clean-sheet or major-variant aircraft program (Chief Engineer, Air Vehicle IPT Lead, or equivalent).
  • Experience integrating trades across Aerodynamics, Structures, Propulsion, GNC, or Systems Integration (three or more disciplines).
  • Experience leading first-article build, integration, and ground test with red-line authority to keep builds moving.
  • Demonstrated hardware-first decision making to maintain schedule velocity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hardware-shipping track record.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret security clearance.
