About the role

Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MSA) Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of multiple aircraft programs, coordinate SITL/HITL/PITL deployments, and support flight test activities within Anduril's Flight Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
  • Develop Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) solutions
  • Develop Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) solutions
  • Develop Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions
  • Provide customer product training solutions
  • Conduct Monte-Carlo simulation analysis
  • Develop and maintain simulation/test data analysis tools and processes
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to model sub-system, system and system-of-system dynamics
  • Engage with internal and external customers to determine simulation requirements and deliver efficient modeling and simulation solutions
  • Own end-to-end configuration of SITL, HITL, and PITL for test vehicles to enable safe flight tests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or Subsea vehicles
  • Experience in flight dynamics/platform physics and control
  • Proficiency with C/C++
  • Advanced proficiency with MathWorks products (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK) and scientific Python (numpy, scipy)
  • Flight test data processing/sim correlation experience
  • Experience developing sub-system and system-level models (air vehicles, ground vehicles, sensors, etc.)
  • Experience developing models to support Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
