About the role

Senior Product Sourcing Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain management for Anduril’s Intelligence & Space product line, including engineering support, vendor onboarding, sourcing, pricing, and BOM management across NPI and production.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering BOM with engineering to ensure sourceability and procurability at target costs
  • Conduct supplier selection and onboarding of vendors to support Space & Intelligence business
  • Drive on-time delivery with innovative approaches to Space industry lead-times and constraints
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development, design simulations)
  • Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM to ramp production with internal teams and suppliers
  • Manage total program cost including NPI and mass production
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing
  • Ensure completion of component qualifications ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and maximize TCO
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, inflation) and supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component & product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
