About the role

Senior BOM Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain, sourcing, and cost management of Anduril’s hardware for the Intelligence & Space business line, including vendor onboarding, NPI to production, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) with engineering to ensure sourceable parts at target costs
  • Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved list and onboarding unique vendors
  • Drive on-time delivery with innovative solutions to Space industry constraints
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development with clear SOW, design simulation)
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM to ramp production internally and with suppliers
  • Manage total program cost including NPI and mass production
  • Value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility of supply network
  • Complete BOM risk assessments including alternate sourcing
  • Ensure completion of component qualifications ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost maximizing TCO
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, inflation)
  • Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or electronics/mechanical design
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO at component/product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% and relocate to Reston, VA if needed
