About the role

Senior Product Sourcing Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain management of Anduril’s Intelligence & Space hardware, including engineering BOM support, supplier onboarding, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering BOM with engineering to ensure sourceability and procure-ability at target cost
  • Conduct supplier selection using approved list and onboard unique vendors for Space & Intelligence
  • Drive on-time delivery with innovative solutions to reduce traditional Space industry lead-times and constraints
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analysis, should-cost models, joint design development with clear SOW, mechanical & electronics design simulation)
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOM with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers
  • Manage total cost of the program including NPI and mass production throughout NPI
  • Value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate component sourcing
  • Ensure completion of component qualifications ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier/component rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export, cost inflation)
  • Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component/product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
