About the role

Senior Cost Value Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain ownership, cost management, supplier onboarding and development, and BOM optimization for Anduril’s Intelligence & Space products. Collaborates cross-functionally to drive timing, cost, and procurement strategies across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering BOM to ensure parts can be sourced at target costs
  • Conduct supplier selection and onboarding of unique vendors for Space & Intelligence products
  • Drive on-time delivery and innovative solutions to reduce lead times in space industry contexts
  • Collaborate with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design development with clear SOWs, and simulation of mechanical & electronics designs
  • Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to enable ramp production
  • Manage total program cost including NPI and mass production
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility of supply network
  • Complete BOM risk assessments with alternate sourcing options
  • Ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation) and supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component & product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate for onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
