About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Supplier Sourcing Engineer to own end-to-end supply chain for the Intelligence Systems & Space business line, including engineering support, vendor onboarding, sourcing, pricing, and total BOM management across NPI and production.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into your engineering Bill of Material (BOM), working closely with engineering to ensure parts being designed can be sourced & procured at a reasonable target level
  • Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list as well as onboarding unique vendors to support Space & Intelligence needs
  • Drive on time delivery utilizing unique solutions to reduce traditional Space industry lead-times and supply constraints
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development, SOW, simulation)
  • Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM to ramp production with high flexibility
  • Manage total cost of the program (NPI & mass production) throughout NPI
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate component sourcing
  • Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity via commonality optimization & supplier/component rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost to product cost (TCO optimization)
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export, cost inflation)
  • Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component & product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not local
