About the role

Senior Supplier Sourcing Engineer responsible for end-to-end supply chain management for Anduril’s Intelligence Systems & Space product hardware, including engineering support, vendor onboarding & development, sourcing, pricing, and BOM management across NPI and production lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into engineering BOM to ensure sourceability and procure-ability within target costs
  • Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved list and onboard unique vendors for Space & Intelligence programs
  • Drive on-time delivery with innovative approaches to Space industry lead-times and supply constraints
  • Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via: concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design development with clear statements of work, simulation of mechanical & electronics designs
  • Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ramp production
  • Manage total cost of the program including NPI & mass production
  • Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessments including alternate sourcing
  • Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production
  • Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and supplier/component rationalization
  • Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and maximize TCO
  • Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation)
  • Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component/product level
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time
  • Ability to relocate for onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
