About the role

Senior Software Engineers independently drive the delivery of a variety of software integrated into Anduril’s Maritime Division products, contributing as technical leads across architecture, design, delivery, and lifecycle support for autonomous platforms and mission software.

Responsibilities

  • Empathize with end-users and drive solutions that balance their needs with constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for end-user value
  • Design and implement scalable software that enables capability evolution over time
  • Contribute to the design and development of existing software services across Anduril for reusable components across product lines
  • Develop software that runs on- and off- robotic platforms using various technologies
  • Contribute to development processes for initial delivery and subsequent iterations of vehicle and mission software, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring and operation
  • Create test and simulation fixtures that operate with both software- and hardware-in-the-loop
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment
  • Mentor Software Engineers from differing backgrounds within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Travel to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams up to 20% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with domains/technologies of expertise
  • Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design and system design
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
  • Ability to work holistically across the software stack and lifecycle
  • Ability to act as technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment and evolution
  • Capacity to learn and grow while mentoring junior team members effectively, building team cohesion
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
