About the role
Partner with Product and Design leaders to help build and scale high-performing, high-ownership teams within Harvey’s Product and Design groups, with potential to support additional technical orgs over time.
Responsibilities
- Partner deeply with Product and Design leaders: advise on org design, team structure, and operating effectively through rapid growth and change.
- Coach and challenge leaders: provide feedback and raise the bar on leadership across the org.
- Drive performance and accountability: collaborate with managers on performance, feedback, and development to maintain high standards.
- Navigate complex people situations: handle employee relations matters with sound judgment.
- Stay close to the work: develop understanding of how Product, Design, and Engineering teams operate to guide leaders effectively.
- Operate in ambiguity: help leaders navigate shifting priorities and evolving org structures.
- Help scale how we work: partner with Head of PBPs and broader People team to implement practices for high-performing technical teams.
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of experience in a People Business Partner role, ideally supporting Product, Design, or Engineering teams.
- Experience working with technical leaders and understanding product/engineering orgs.
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Ability to influence and challenge senior leaders.
- Experience supporting org design, performance management, and team scaling in high-growth environments.
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills, especially in sensitive situations.
- Pragmatic, no-drama approach.
- Ability to work from San Francisco office at least three days per week.
