About the role

Responsible for thermal design and validation of satellite systems, including simulations, experimental design, procurement coordination, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Thermal design of a satellite from electrical sub-assemblies to system level.
  • Perform thermal and multi-discipline simulations to validate the system's thermal integrity.
  • Design of experiments to validate simulations and designs.
  • Coordinating the procurement of thermal components, for example heat pipes and radiators.
  • Bring a project from design to manufacturing by coordinating with manufacturing partners.
  • Plan and perform the thermal aspects of a satellite testing campaign.
  • Be the subject matter expert for thermal questions for other disciplines.

Qualifications

  • University or HES degree in any relevant engineering or science field.
  • Experience in full design cycle covering design, prototyping, and final design implementation and qualification.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools, for example Thermal Desktop, Ansys tools, or similar.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and experimental design verification.
  • Fluency in English, French is an asset.
