About the role

Senior individual contributor role owning how finance leadership reviews key business metrics. Responsible for weekly metrics updates, defining KPIs, surfacing macro trends, deep-dives on executive questions, and building scalable, governed analytics workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, and Claude-powered tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the weekly company metrics update and forum: shape the story the numbers tell, evolve the structure and content as fast as the business changes
  • Define the metrics that matter: establish headline KPIs and driver views
  • Surface macro trends: explain drivers of growth across products, customers, and channels, flag leading indicators
  • Lead deep dives on executive questions: design measurement approach and deliver clear, defensible answers
  • Track performance against plan: explain deviations between actuals and forecast and why it matters
  • Partner across teams: collaborate with finance leadership, product and GTM finance/strategy, data science, and data engineering to standardize measurements
  • Raise the bar: land narratives in executive forums and elevate finance analytics practice

Qualifications

  • Strong experience running an executive metrics/forum
  • Ability to land narratives with executives and simplify for senior leaders
  • Experience defining measurement approaches for ambiguous questions
  • Hands-on at senior level: proficient in SQL and Python, capable of shipping v1 with honest error bars
  • Curiosity and ability to adapt to fast-moving models, products, and market
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-moving work streams
  • Proficiency with modern tooling: data visualization, Claude/AI tools, SQL, Python, dbt, cloud warehouse
