About the role

Senior Firmware Engineer role focusing on embedded wireless systems for Anduril’s autonomous vehicles, collaborating with Electrical Engineering and RF teams to develop low-level firmware, wireless protocols, and device drivers for software-defined radio products.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define software architecture and interface specifications for embedded wireless systems
  • Analyze and implement wireless protocols and vehicle command/control schemes
  • Implement low-level device drivers and board support packages for software-defined radio products
  • Own complex firmware features of an embedded system
  • Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundaries
  • Help select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering team
  • Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development, ideally with a focus on embedded wireless or networking products
  • Strong C coding ability for embedded systems
  • Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, RISC-V, etc.)
  • Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors
  • Experience developing firmware in RTOS (ThreadX, FreeRTOS) environments
  • Solid debugging skills using JTAG/SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzers
  • Understanding and application of coding best practices, testing methodologies, and performance optimization
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
