About the role

Senior technical publications manager to lead high-profile documentation programs for government customers, coordinating a team of technical writers to produce clear, user-focused manuals, guides, and release notes while scaling documentation processes and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and edit documentation that is user-focused. Work with engineering and operations to deliver task, conditions, standard-centric documentation
  • Contribute to Anduril’s technical writing toolkit - style guides, lifecycle, review process, and tool procurement requirements
  • Evaluate and prioritize tasks to support product documentation efforts; use data-driven approach; address documentation roadmap risks
  • Communicate and help manage expectations; note risks, identify mitigations, allocate resources
  • Help build a culture of technical documentation with processes and training for others to contribute content; refine product maturity framework for documentation as part of productization
  • Coordinate efforts to define requirements, assign testing and discovery tasks, and develop training to scale documentation across teams
  • Assist head of technical documentation to partner with account, product, and engineering teams across all product development phases to ensure availability of user documentation
  • Facilitate transition to infrastructure and tooling needed for scalable content creation and maintenance; manage onboarding of contributions from other teams

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation
  • Experience with content authoring tools (e.g., RapidAuthor, Arbortext)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for technical subjects
  • Autonomy and responsibility; strong project-management skills
  • Passion for excellent documentation and user experience
  • Eligible for Secret or higher security clearance (US)
  • Ability to relocate to onsite Costa Mesa, CA if not local
  • Pre-employment and randomized substance screening as required by company
