About the role
Oversee mechanical contractors and crews building advanced mechanical infrastructure for SpaceXSI Data Centers, including large-scale HVAC, chilled water plants, condenser systems, piping, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers, and fire protection. Onsite leadership for heavy industrial mechanical construction in a mission-critical data center environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate mechanical installations including chilled water piping, condenser systems, HVAC equipment, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, ductwork, CRAC/CRAH units, and fire suppression systems for SpaceXSI Data Centers.
- Manage and schedule mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and on-site crews to deliver project milestones on time and to SpaceXSI's quality standards.
- Ensure all contractors adhere to mechanical scope, delivering high-integrity cooling and process systems critical to data center uptime and thermal management.
- Monitor daily progress of mechanical construction, maintaining logs, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Develop and enforce aggressive construction schedules while keeping the project on time and within budget.
- Champion and enforce SpaceXAI's safety program, building a zero-incident culture around heavy mechanical equipment and elevated work.
- Supervise foremen and mechanical crews, fostering teamwork and accountability in a high-stakes environment.
