About the role

Senior software engineer focused on building high-quality visualization platforms for Nuro’s autonomous driving technology. Collaborates across Autonomy, ML Labeling, product, and design to develop visualization tools and end-to-end features.

Responsibilities

  • Build performant visualization frameworks in C++ / OpenGL and Unity to support autonomy development, validation, triage tools, and in-car visualization.
  • Partner with Autonomy engineers to improve development workflows through better visualization.
  • Collaborate with ML Labeling teams to enable bespoke labeling tools and high-quality training data.
  • Interface with product managers and designers to build polished visualizations for external applications that represent Nuro well.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience in C++, OpenGL and QT
  • Basic understanding of graphics concepts (e.g., rendering pipelines, shaders, coordinate systems)
  • Prior experience with visualization apps or game engines (OpenGL, Vulkan, Unity, Unreal)
  • Strong technical depth in low-level code and advanced language features
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
  • Mentorship and leadership to uplift team products, people, and processes.
