About the role

Autonomy Visualization software engineer role focused on building high-quality visualization platforms and end-to-end viz features and products for Nuro’s autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities

  • Build performant visualization frameworks in both C++ / OpenGL and Unity to serve autonomy development, validation, triage tools, and in-car visualization
  • Partner with Autonomy engineers to improve development workflow with better visualization
  • Collaborate with ML Labeling teams to support high-quality training data with bespoke labeling tools
  • Interface with product managers and designers to build polished visualizations for external applications that represent Nuro well

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of software development experience in C++, OpenGL and QT
  • Basic understanding of graphics concepts (e.g., rendering pipelines, shaders, coordinate systems)
  • Prior experience with visualization apps or game engines (OpenGL, Vulkan, Unity, Unreal)
  • Strong technical skills with performance-focused low-level code and advanced language features
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
