About the role

Aprio PH is hiring a Learning and Development (L&D) Senior Specialist, Tax Training to design, deliver, and optimize tax training programs for Philippine-based professionals serving U.S. clients. The role emphasizes instructional design, collaboration with tax SMEs and leaders, data-driven evaluation, and leveraging learning technologies in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • - Design, deliver, and continuously enhance technical tax training programs for Philippine-based tax professionals supporting U.S. clients, ensuring alignment with Aprio’s standards and learning strategy.
  • - Monitor, track, and report on training effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model and ROI Institute methodologies.
  • - Partner with U.S. and Philippine tax leaders, SMEs, and L&D colleagues to assess needs and ensure learning solutions stay relevant.
  • - Conduct learning needs analyses, identify skill gaps, measure training effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
  • - Stay current on U.S. tax developments and L&D best practices to keep training practical and future-ready.
  • - Act as an internal learning consultant, recommending and implementing targeted learning interventions.
  • - Lead innovative learning initiatives and curricula aligned with business objectives and standards.
  • - Collaborate with Tax SMEs and stakeholders to co-develop course content reflecting real-world client work scenarios.
  • - Build partnerships with Tax SMEs and internal trainers to ensure consistent delivery quality.
  • - Ensure tax training initiatives align with compliance requirements and professional development goals.
  • - Prepare, analyze, and present reports on participation, progress, and performance across programs.
  • - Review and update learning materials for technical accuracy, brand consistency, NASBA/CPE standards where applicable.
  • - Coordinate external training, certifications, or conferences to enhance technical competence.
  • - Manage end-to-end tax learning curriculum for Philippine-based professionals and serve as primary training contact.
  • - Facilitate instructor-led and virtual sessions on technical U.S. Tax topics.

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Education, Psychology, Communications, Commerce, Finance, Human Resources or Taxation (Required)
  • - Master’s Degree - Taxation, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or MBA (Preferred)
  • - 2-3 years LMS experience (prefer LCvista) (Preferred)
  • - 2-3 years coordinating in-person, virtual, and hybrid event management (Required)
  • - 2-3 years applying instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles (Required)
  • - 2-3 years evaluating training effectiveness with data-driven insights (Required)
  • - 2-3 years organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills (Required)
  • - 2-3 years proficiency with learning technologies (LMS, MS Office, SharePoint, Articulate 360, Power BI, Teams/Zoom) (Required)
  • - 2-3 years client service or teaching role with interest in training domain (Preferred)
