About the role

SkillBridge internship for transitioning military service members to gain civilian maintenance experience in an FAA-certified Repair Station, focusing on inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and service of general aviation aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft
  • Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
  • Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
  • Continually keeps clean and organized work area
  • Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
  • Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in general / military aircraft maintenance required
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities
  • Broad knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and demeanor
  • Basic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plus
  • Airframe & Powerplant certifications highly preferred
  • Candidates actively working to obtain Airframe & Powerplant certifications within 6 months of start date preferred
