About the role
Founding applied scientist to anchor scientific foundations of the discovery stack, handling geoscientific data (geophysical, geochemical, geological, remote sensing) from data acquisition to processing and integration that informs targeting decisions.
Responsibilities
- Anchor the scientific foundations of the discovery stack.
- Lead how we work with geoscientific data across geophysical, geochemical, geological, and remote sensing domains.
- Define data acquisition, processing, and integration pipelines that feed targeting decisions.
Qualifications
- PhD in geophysics, applied physics, computational physics, applied mathematics, or closely related field; or equivalent deep technical expertise
- Deep experience with exploration geophysics and geophysical inversions
- Strong scientific computing skills (Python, the standard stack)
- Working fluency with ML — able to be a thought partner on what we're building
- Comfort with ambiguous, sparse, multi-modal data
