About the role

Master Data Management Analyst role focused on data quality, governance, and enablement within the MDM domain. Responsible for root-cause analysis, governance operationalization, and partnering with analytics engineering to ensure golden record standards and data trust across source systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize MDM Governance & Enable Business Stewards: Populate and maintain MDM metadata within the semantic layer platform, establish data quality SLAs, RACI ownership, stewardship assignments, and train data stewards on governance responsibilities.
  • Contribute to Semantic Layer Design, Data Definition & Governance: Translate data structures into product requirements for ontology objects and semantic models; collaborate on data catalogs.
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering on Data Validation: Read SQL, models, and transformation logic to validate data against MDM golden record definitions.
  • Inform Semantic Layer PM on Platform Gaps: Define technical requirements and business urgency for governance workflow enhancements.
  • Create Intuitive Learning Resources & Decentralize Support: Develop training materials, guides, and patterns; cultivate power users across domains to enable self-service data quality monitoring.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Analytics.
  • Experience writing basic queries to explore data, validate data quality, and support root-cause investigations; ability to read transformation code without writing production pipelines.
  • Experience operationalizing data governance frameworks (RACI, data quality SLAs) and training business stewards.
  • Familiarity with MDM principles, data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data security/compliance (e.g., ITAR, CUI).
  • Experience working across enterprise source systems (ERP, PLM, CRM, MES) and distinguishing source issues, process gaps, and transformation errors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
