About the role

Senior role embedding with project teams to deliver leased and partnered data center capacity in Australia, driving fastest schedule while ensuring safety and quality, coordinating stakeholders and guiding from inception to operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead at project sites to shape culture, approach, and performance of extended site teams
  • Develop and enhance cross-functional capabilities of development partners, contractors, and key trades in data center delivery
  • Confirm deal readiness and validate transaction viability from LOI through lease execution
  • Partner with landlords and developers post-deal as primary Anthropic contact, coordinating internal stakeholders and tracking construction progress
  • Represent Anthropic in key technical and operational decisions with partners during development
  • Drive seamless handoffs to operational state, enabling rapid workload turn-ups and minimizing time-to-production
  • Prepare and present regular executive reporting on progress vs plan for facility development
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout delivery lifecycle and address blockers impacting timeline, cost, or technical requirements
  • Develop and refine standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in senior site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale within Australia
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end data center development process including entitlements, permitting, planning, supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover
  • Deep knowledge of data center design and construction in Australia, including contractual norms and speed incentives
  • Ability to operate autonomously, make decisions, and guide delivery execution without heavy reliance on external consultation
