About the role

Leadership role focused on planning, managing, and monitoring Skydio's logistics operations for inbound raw materials and outbound product, with responsibility for processes, KPIs, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient, compliant logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating business relationships with clients and product suppliers
  • Discussing and negotiating shipping rates with product carriers
  • Setting up and maintaining schedules for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Directing the flow of an organization’s materials and products
  • Working with other departments to implement logistical improvements
  • Supervising the work of the logistics team
  • Overseeing the importing and exporting process of a product
  • Lead logistics associates and their daily tasks and handle larger logistics related projects
  • Write and implement processes related to receiving and handling raw materials and finished product transportation
  • Ensure Financial, Accounting and General ‘Best Practices’ around OEM Inventory Management are followed and in compliance
  • Set performance expectations and promote Root Cause and Problem-Solving learning
  • Train and mentor associates for growth and advancement
  • Raise quality, supply, compliance and manufacturing concerns promptly

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience directly leading, delegating work and scheduling associates
  • Experience handling a global supply base delivering highly-engineered components while running cycle counts audits and full physical inventory counts
  • Experience with standard warehouse processes and practices
  • Comfortable developing solutions for gaps in business processes and using software (Jira, NetSuite, Slack) for receiving PO’s, inventory management and communication
  • Attention to detail, quality and efficiency in meeting daily internal part distribution requirements
  • Strong understanding of inventory segregation, ECMs, containment and build-out processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules for warehouse staff and visitors
  • Bias toward visibility and action while tracking core ISO/ASTM documentation
  • APICS or CMA or CPM certifications desired
  • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within first 60 days encouraged and required for certain roles
