About the role
Tesora is building AI-native actuarial workbench software for specialty P&C carriers and MGAs. The Forward Deployed Actuarial Engineer sits at the intersection of product and customers, embedding with design partners to translate real-world actuarial problems into production-ready workflows and features.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with actuaries and underwriters at specialty carriers to map their rating, reserving, and pricing workflows
- Build and customize models, data pipelines, and product features that solve those workflows
- Turn customer feedback into product direction alongside our founding team
- Own deployments end to end, from first conversation to production usage
Qualifications
- Strong engineering fundamentals and comfort moving fast across the stack
- Genuine interest in insurance, actuarial science, or quantitative modeling (actuarial exam progress is a plus, not a requirement)
- Excellent communication and the confidence to be in front of customers
- Bias toward ownership and shipping
