About the role

Backend Software Engineer role at Encord, London. Full-time position within a small, high-performing team building the AI data platform. End-to-end ownership, autonomy, and opportunity to impact customers and company growth.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of projects, including product, design, architectural decisions, deployment, monitoring and measuring impact on users
  • Work across the stack from deployment to styling
  • Collaborate within a lean, high-trust team solving challenging problems at scale
  • Contribute to building reliable, performant software and trade-offs in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining multiple systems from scratch (not necessarily in a single prior role)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Strong collaboration and team performance mindset
  • Comfort with uncertainty and autonomous decision-making

Skills

Required:Backend development
Nice to have:Frontend overlap (full-stack)
