About the role

Legal counsel supporting HR operations and international growth at Voodoo, focusing on hiring, onboarding, immigration, employment relationships, performance management, and offboarding, with responsibility for HR documentation, negotiations, and collective labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Ops team globally on a daily basis on their legal questions relating to hiring, onboarding, immigration processes, employment relationships, management of performance, offboarding
  • Review HR legal documentation across our jurisdictions including employment contracts, amendments, termination paperwork, etc.
  • Take the lead on discussions or negotiations that may have legal implications
  • Support international growth: first hires in new countries, EOR vs. entity trade-offs
  • Support VP HR in management of collective labor relations with employee representatives

Qualifications

  • You have at least 4 years of experience as a Lawyer specializing in labor law, or as an in-house HR Legal Counsel, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment similar to Voodoo
  • You have solid legal skills and reasoning
  • You are autonomous, organized and structured
  • You demonstrate adaptability, reactivity and pragmatism
  • You have outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills in French and English
  • You want to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
