About the role

Outbound SDR role at depthfirst focused on prospecting, engaging, and qualifying potential customers through outbound channels, shaping GTM strategy, and building early-stage pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn targeting ideal customer profiles
  • Research accounts and personalize outreach to drive meaningful engagement
  • Qualify prospects and book discovery calls for Account Executives
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and targeting
  • Track activity in CRM and provide feedback on what's working in the field
  • Hit and exceed monthly pipeline generation targets

Qualifications

  • Background in cybersecurity (professional, academic, or personal interest) OR at least 1 year of outbound sales experience in any industry
  • High emotional intelligence and genuine curiosity about people and their problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort operating in a startup environment where things change, priorities shift, and resourcefulness is rewarded
  • A clear understanding of the tradeoff: early-stage comp versus long-term equity upside, and excitement about that bet
  • Coachable, self-motivated, and competitive in a collaborative way
  • Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (this role is in-office)
